          Art Installations

          Annie Mitchem

          Love Letters to Self and Community is an outdoor interactive space designed for individuals to express love, affirmation, and creativity through the art of letter writing. The event invites up to 500+ participants to create love letters to anyone or anything they wish, within a safe, welcoming, and vibrant space. As day turns to night, the atmosphere will shift, transforming the space into a romantic cloud dreamscape with soft, colorful lighting to create an intimate, immersive environment.

          Scin.Til.Late (Aaron Lara-Lead Artist)

          Light Art is a large-scale programmed lighting and projection mapped installation fitting the theme of “Urban Oasis” and highlighting the SOMOS environment, where viewers will have a place to stand for a moment in complete awe of what light can do to your emotions. The lighting can be changed at any moment to create a multitude of settings and good vibes.

          Wonder + Light (John Mark Collins- Lead Artist)

          Dream Machine is a five-sided interactive & holographic cube that invites participants to interact with light as the installation tracks the motion and physical attributes of its users, in addition to information from its surroundings and location. Using all of this data and verbal input through interaction with the users, it creates a visual and auditory landscape unique to that moment in time and place. Using live data, computational generated forms and realtime AI voice processing, the Dream Machine is able to take input and quickly create live and unique art pieces that never repeat. Each experience is unique and each user creates a unique ‘dream’ in that moment.

          Secret Gallery (Gabe Gallegos & Aaron Mancha, Lead Artists)

          Screen Time is an installation created from approximately 20 vintage analog televisions, modern digital flatscreens, and a camera, for exhibiting visual artworks and camera-based interactive elements. The art displayed on the screens will cycle through digitized works by local artists and interactive video art pieces that react to viewers’ movements as captured by the street-facing camera. We will feature a variety of artworks created by a diverse selection of Secret Gallery Collective members and other artists from central and southern New Mexico.

          Joseph Stacey

          The Portal is a mural box composed of panels that will contain mural art alongside light designs, which will illuminate the night landscape as well, including flower lights scattered throughout the festival grounds. Festival goers will be invited to walk through the portal and experience these elements.

          TLFX & Katherine Kacou:

          Reverie Chime Project consists of wood chime assemblage art made by TLFX as well as the public. In pursuit of transformation chains and textiles will float in the designated installation space. Festival goers will seamlessly engage in the beautification of public space and the simultaneous creation of community space where people can come together for temporal experience.

          Diana Delgado

          Como La Flor is a garden of larger than life hand made flowers ranging from 4ft – 8ft in height. Some flowers will be hand-painted in vibrant colors while others will have black leaves and stems with white texturized petals, reminiscent of paste paper. As the sun sets, the black and white flowers will activate with their leaves and stems lighting up and the petals will explode into vibrant colors with the use of projector lights or animations.

          Family and Maker’s Village

          Conservation Carnivale & The Green Machine

          A local circus show that teaches environmental education through juggling, aerialists, dancers, clowning, singers and a few other surprises. This is an all ages experience that makes learning about local water conservation, pollination, climate change and other ecological concepts fun! The Green Machine is a converted 1974 Chevy Stepvan circus style mobile natural history museum and immersive art experience of the Rio Grande River ecosystem and the impacts humans have on it.

          Baila Baila! Dance Company

          A local cross generational dance company that provides vibrant and entertaining cultural experience for audiences of all ages meant to enhance the cultural fabric of our community by presenting Traditional Mexican Folk Dances in the beautiful traditional costumes that portray the rich cultural heritage present in New Mexico.

          The Children's Collection

          The Children’s Collection (TCC) is a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to acquire, preserve, provide access to, and showcase literary works, artistic endeavors, and inventions created by children from New Mexico and beyond. Our vision is to let kids inspire kids.

          Dar A Luz Birth & Health Center + Native Community Health Network

          Providing our lactation station, Dar a Luz is dedicated to providing compassionate and holistic prenatal care, women’s health services and a safe alternative to hospital birth for women and their families.

          Warehouse 505

          Hands-on screen printing workshops where attendees can create their own customized tote bags. Our talented youth DJs will keep the energy up with live music, and attendees can learn more about Warehouse 505’s creative community.

          ArribaNM & SWOP

          ArribaNM and Southwest Organizing Project will provide community art and game carts to share dialogue of current issues, create art, play games, and learn about NM culture!

          Off Grid Studio: Earth Pigment Workshop

          Participants will learn to create and work with watercolor paint made from foraged New Mexico rocks. Attendees can join scheduled sessions to experience the full paint-making process or drop in anytime to experiment with handmade watercolors and create paintings.

          Sara Aceves: One Day Papier Mâché

          Participants will use pre-cut 3D shapes, to cover with colorful tissue paper and paste that will be made out of flour and water to create beautiful wall-hanging sculptures.

          Muñeca Block Printing

          Learn the process of block printing! Participants will choose from a variety of finished stamp designs and colors to design and print onto tote bags or bandanas.

          Ceramica ABQ Pinch Pot Workshop

          Learn the basics of pinch pot ceramic building at your own pace, then decorate with fun stamps. Multiple teachers will help with instruction. Participants are encouraged to either take their finished piece home, or leave with the studio for later firing and pick up.

          Sol Johnson: “In Between Spaces” Tile Exchange

          This workshop is focused around community support and awareness. Each person will be asked to make a tile out of air-dry clay and paint that answers the question: What is a message you’d like to give to someone living in the in-between spaces? Once they’ve completed their tile, they’ll leave it for another community member to take, and then they’ll take another community member’s tile.

          Siembra Leadership High School

          A local high school showcase of artist vendors and information. Siembra Leadership High School’s mission is to empower academically underserved students for entrepreneurial careers that resonate with the values and needs of the Albuquerque community.

          Margarita Quintana: Mermaid Margarita

          Festival goers are invited to meet Mermaid Margarita and the NM Pod Squad. Learn the importance of self love and self care, as well as the importance of water conservation and water safety in our state while stopping to take a photo.

          StrangKind Ballooning

          Get to feel a real hot air balloon envelope! Learn more about one of New Mexico’s balloonists.

          Face Painting

          A collective of face painters will provide free fun designs for festival goers.

          Performance Artists/Roving Performers

          AirDance New Mexico

          A company of multi-disciplinary artists who collaborate with each other to create exciting, innovative performances, featuring critically acclaimed aerial dances and multi-media theatrical works. AirDance productions incorporate trapezes, aerial fabric, swings, hoops, aerial cube, and invented apparatus and interactive sets, created from a variety of materials.

          SaintsBall

          A fierce family of local drag queens who will be roving the entire festival and interacting with festival goers with fun dances and performances.

          3 On a Match Kabarett

          Not only a musical act, but a theatrical performance group with a distinctive and unconventional approach to musical performance. Embracing the spirit of the European Kabarett style that flourished between the World Wars of the 20th Century, we offer a one-of-a-kind ensemble experience. Playing and singing music from the early 1900’s in German, English and French.

          Angel Richardson

          A talented pole artist, focused on creating artistic performances incorporating Ranchera music and dance.

          Xazziel Martinez

          A local solo guitarist with a romantic flair and classical guitar training, who will be providing beautiful tunes in the Torreon.

          Sage Cornelius

          Sage Cornelius is a heavy metal violinist, guitarist, singer, and producer redefining what string instruments can do. Named one of the “5 Indigenous Artists You Need To Know” by the GRAMMYs, Sage has toured internationally with Shawn James, collaborated on viral content with Jared Dines, and composed music for ESPN, featured in the 2024 NBA Finals. With a full-length metal violin album set to drop in April 2025, Sage proves the violin isn’t just for orchestras—it shreds.
